Over the Summer holidays, The Path Less Travelled built a traversing wall for Heighington Millfield Primary Academy in Lincolnshire.

This morning the postman delivered their Thankyou letters.

When you have the opportunity to get kids doing maths, spelling, problem solving, team building with their eyes, bodies, hearts and imaginations it is amazing.

The fundamentals of learning sat in rows facing the front are a legacy of the industrial revolution and have no place in modern learning.

When you get a note from a young autistic boy who has come alive by the idea of learning and climbing on the wall, and has gone to the efforts of writing a letter to express his thanks, it blows you away.

Don’t sit down and face the front, Go, Do and Be instead.
