Headed to the Northern Lakes today and went up a few routes on Blencathra.

Stingingly cold off the back of the 50mph northerly wind.

Good to see climbers, walkers, scramblers, skiers, fell runners, snow boarders, film makers and paragliders all at least trying to make a go of the mountain in its winter garb.

I have had a “last supper” at The Lakes chippy in Keswick every time i have left the area for the last 23 years (since i lived there). It never disappoints.
