Day 2 of Me and MiniMe do the Lakes

Breakfast at the wonderful Skiddaw House was simple and lovely. We then packed up and walked the 3.5 miles back out to the roadhead in Threlkeld.
MiniMe then chose to visit the osprey viewingpoints in Dodd Wood. The 2 viewing points here kept him entertained, interested and captivated for the best part of 3 hours. Seeing the male return back to the nest with a fish for the female and remaining chick (magpies ate 2 of the 3) was a great thing to watch.

We then had the chippy tea to end all chippy teas in Keswick and then nodded off in Keswick YHA …
