In a recent survey by Ordnance Survey it came to light that only 4 out of 10 adults say they can map read, and 9 out of 10 adults had never used a ‘traditional’ paper map. If you’d like to learn to map read, I teach the Young Navigator (for kids) and National Navigator (for adults) Award Schemes. A good sense of direction, and the ability to locate yourself on a map is a really useful life skill, and it’s a fun and interesting thing to learn too. // Drop me a line for more info – link in profile.
