Two excellent autobiographies, two very very good photography books, and two really rather special large books (Peak Rock and Great Mountain Crags of Scotland). // Climbing and mountaineering are fuelled by stories, characters and photographs, and this rich crop from Vertebrate make a fine contribution to the genre.
