Students from @bromsgroveschool nearing the last checkpoint on their @dofeuk Bronze expedition yesterday afternoon. 100+ students navigated various routes through the @peakdistrictnationalpark in their teams, carrying all their kit. The Bronze award is often an ‘eye-opener’ for award participants as they put in to practise all that they have learnt on what is for almost all of them, the longest backpacking journey they’ve ever been on. They ought to be especially proud of themselves for completing the expedition in such hot weather too. A final doff of the cap too to the 16 staff, led by Jeff Farnes that gave up their weekends (and the many months of prep) to afford the students the opportunity to undertake challenging developmental outdoor activities like this 👏👏👏
