Ran a short ‘Intro to Navigation Course today’. Met at Stanage to be welcomed by driving ice cold rain, and a razor sharp and sodden Southerly wind. Fingers turned to insta-sausages. Gore-tex from start-ex. A quick 90 mins on the higher ground, then welfare brews in Hathersage, then on to lower ground in Longshaw and Padley. Fair play to the two students for staying tuned in for Map Orientation, Contours and Features, and Distance Measurement, in those quite unfriendly weather conditions.
