on the increasing value of time outdoors ….

In amongst all the tragedy, turmoil and privations of this last year, one thing that has shone through is the increasing value of time outdoors. It’s been lovely to chat with a few folks recently who have purchased places on navigation courses, hill skills days, or guided walks from me, for family or friends as Christmas gifts. Gifting a day or two towards helping someone become competent and confident in the hills is, i think, a gift that invests in the future well-being of the recipient. However 2021 will also doubtless have some ups and downs in store for us all, so i offer the ability to reschedule or refund any courses booked as gifts. Most of my teaching is done in the Peak District but i often work in the Lake District and North Wales. However, wherever you are in the UK (or the world) please do consider an experiential gift this Christmas for your family and friends if you are able. @ami_professionals @mtntraining @brit_mt_guides all have registers of providers, but also consider the likes of @miker.raine and @natureswork_uk for brilliant environmental learning courses, and the great new e-natural navigation course from @thenaturalnavigator. You can find more about my courses on the website 👆, and if i can help you find a provider wherever you live, or offer any advice (for free), please just drop me a line.
