Scenario. You come back from a lovely wintery hike to a remote car park. Car is snowed in. Phone is dead.
Plan. What’s yours ? What would you do ? Are things required to execute that plan already in your vehicle ? Or is your plan actually based on hope (or luck, or chance).
Several incidents around the UK during ‘Storm Arwen’ whereby people went out in situations that made the above scenario ‘real’, and they relied on hope. Several of them are only alive because farmers stopped to enquire about their wellbeing … and then rang the emergency services.
Being found the next morning frozen dead in your iced up car isn’t a great look.
Hope is not a good plan.
