I have had an old friend and his son visiting for the last two days.
We managed to do a little bit of climbing, drink lots of coffee, enjoy some sunshine, eat well, reminisce and wander up Mam Tor.
On the second day, whilst they were enjoying a lunch and then a trip down Speedwell Cavern, i was entertained by four call-outs with the mountain rescue team.
A loop of Derbyshire and South Yorkshire that took me from Surprise View to the Upper Derwent Valley (Kings Tree) to Eccleshall Woods in Sheffield to Longshaw Estate to our Base (in Hope) then to Lady Cannings Plantation.
After which i went home and promptly fell asleep clothed and unfed !!
