Stormtroopers

‘ello ‘ello ‘ello …

Now to the untrained eye it might look like a rag tag bunch of local farmers resplendent in Ridgeline and Swaazi peering in to the back of a Disco …

….. but these are the future stormtroopers of the sky !!

In liaison with the South Yorkshire Police rural crime team, the Eastern Moors rangers held a session for local farmers and rural residents tonight all about drones. We zoomed in on (pretend) suspect vehicles, we found cows, we chatted through and demo’d drones from DJI Mini to Mavic3T, and we explained how we use them day and night and how they would be a very useful tool for many aspects of farming.

In the first photo they’re looking at a feed from the 3T on a monitor in the back of the Disco.

It was a good laugh and hopefully a few of the farmers will commit to learning to fly a drone and we can grow the community.

Thanks to everyone that attended.
