I was going to post a trigger warning but if this subject triggers you then you’ve either not been in a National Park recently or if you have you’ve walked round with your eyes closed.

Increasing quantities of it.
Dog and Human.
Mostly unbagged.
Often accompanied by soiled toilet paper.
A health risk to other visitors, wildlife and livestock, and a disgusting sight and an issue that local rangers and indeed rangers across several National Parks reckon is becoming more and more frequent.
Humans not picking up after their dogs. In the last week of September well over 5kg of dog shit was picked up and binned on the paths within just a few hundred metres of Curbar Gap. 90% of it unbagged.
Humans just having a shit where they like. The square on the map is just one area where a lot of people come to enjoy the sunset views down the Hope Valley and have a shit on or close to a main footpath. Multiple piles of human waste and soiled loo roll.
Another really serious impact of the unsustainable levels of visitation that you won’t see in the brochures.
How about giving a shit about nature by not having one in it ?
