Four hours laid between some rocks high above Grindsbrook Clough whilst @searchdogscout and Paul, and TSD Hope and Bart @mrsearchdogseng were put through their paces finding us (i was one of four dogs bodies). Quite physically demanding doing nothing in that weather.

I listened to the autobiography of @realbobmortimer whilst the rain fell and the wind howled. I grew up just over the river from him and could relate to a lot of the stories – it’s a brilliant book.

The wet nose of Scout appeared in my bivvy bag and we had a lovely chat, and then back to hiding from the weather, and after finds on the Kinder side of the valley, Hope found me. Great work by them both. Hard work in hard weather on steep slopes. Banter as we walked off afterwards, and Paul and i had pints of tea and superb lamb stew at @newfoldfarmedale. Happy days.
