The excuses are that a) it’s too hot b) i’m too tired and c) i’m just too busy to stop and write the deeply cerebral content for which my thousands of followers Patreon me.
So a few short musings and then some photos which to be honest are just the last few weeks of Instagram cut out and put here …
If you know you shouldn’t be lighting a fire but you light one anyway i’m 100% disinterested in the ‘apology’ and the handshake that you offer only after you realise we have drone footage of you. Cheerio.
If you’re not flying a drone and you’re not involved in ‘search and rescue’, then wearing a plate carrier (aka a body armour vest) with SEARCH AND RESCUE DRONE PILOT on it at a live 999 incident qualifies you as a Walter Mitty.
Sunshine and alcohol and Class B drugs don’t mix
Consciously lighting a fire on moorland or in woodland during one of the driest periods in recent history isn’t being currently met with the fines and prosecutions that are required to influence behaviour change
Outside of the blogosphere my encounters and interactions are still 98% positive with sensible folls recreating in the outdoors.
The telephone number to ring if you see any form of fire in the countryside isn’t mine. It’s 999. The service you require from the emergency operator is the one with the red trucks and water and hoses. 🚒. They get paid to put fires out (even the on call firefighters).
999. Not mine.
