Dear Karen

Dear Karen,

We met at Curbar last night. You were with your boyfriend. And a BBQ. A villager reported it. Our drone saw it. My colleague extinguished it after explaining the law about them to you. The law permits the rangers that look after the Edge to tell you to leave the area and not return for 72hrs.
You refused.
And then you agreed.
And then you refused.
etc etc etc

…and then you were verbally rude to my colleague. You only filmed the bits of that conversation where you weren’t being rude. Odd.

He then had to go and deal with a drone and i was asked to have a chat with you.

Your bbq wasn’t a fire and there was no flames just some coal in a tray and there’s no way it can cause a fire, apparently.

I’m not allowed to stand with my hand on my hip or my hand in my pocket, apparently.

I’m not allowed to carry the stick i carry on every walk on the moor in case i need to move cows, apparently.

If i was brighter i wouldn’t need to be a volunteer, apparently.

My wife should f*ck me tonight so i am in a better mood tomorrow, apparently.

Curbar Edge belongs to the public so i can’t tell anyone to leave, apparently.

A dog has done a shit on the track and therefore it’s my job to busy myself picking it up and leave you alone, apprently.

I’m sure that everywhere else you go to for recreation allows you to light a BBQ in a period of ‘very high’ fire risk, but unfortunately we can’t allow it anywhere in the Peak District Karen, soz.

You doubted that South Yorkshire police would be interested as they’d be too busy sorting out rapes and slashings, apparently. You were right in part, SY Police weren’t interested but that’s because we were in Derbyshire. Derbyshire Constabulary have a report of aggravated trespass against you.

Apparently i’m going to be all over your socials tomorrow. Hope so. With my hand on my hip and my stick.

Lovely to meet you Karen.
