‘The silicon chip inside my head gets flipped to overload’
Sir Bob wrote about not liking Mondays. I quite like Mondays as (currently) i don’t work them.
A fellow ranger set off on her Monday ramble at Upper Burbage and very quickly found a large amount of BBQ waste.
In and of itself that ought not to both anger and disappoint me. But it does.
8 hrs ish Friday evening and night volunteering
13hrs ish Saturday day, evening and night volunteering.
8hrs on Sunday volunteering.
Then on Sunday i drove homewards and at Wooden Pole i went right. 99% of the time i go straight on. Ergo i didn’t go home via ‘north’ aka Surprise, Whim, Little Moor, Higger, Upper Burbage, Ringinglow lay-bys and Cannings.
It’s probably my ex-forces mindset berating me for missing vital clues.
And because i didn’t go that way i didn’t see the nature loving responsible outdoor users using 3 disposable bbq’s plus accelerant gel to cook their Sunday tea. Three metres from a massive no fires or BBQs sign.
That might have caused my pulse to elevate slightly.

Ergo i also failed to see one of them having a shit in the lay-by (the wet wipes around the BBQ and path side match those at the toileting site).

So i donned PPE and moved BBQ waste and human waste off the site.
Disappointed i hadn’t had the opportunity to meet the ‘owners’.
Sir Bob was right about Mondays …
