….. following on from FrankenBergan 1 …
…. was a 2hr natter with an equally gear obsessed colleague about the design attributes of the perfect winter mountain rescue pack …
We then had the idea of finding someone with a mobile heavy duty industrial sewing machine and meeting them for a paid days work next year somewhere and cutting the good bits off rucksacks and combining them to make ‘the one’.
Which then got me thinking about what bags i have bought and sold in the last few years and why they didn’t cut the mustard …
So off to eBay and Vinted i went. These are most not all of the bought ones (Vinted doesnt store photos – so click on all the ‘images’ inc the ones of words !)

I’ve just sold the new version of the BCA Stash 40 and the UL version of the BCA Stash 40. There are several PODSACs inc a Black Ice and Escape POD in the store. Sold an original Crux AK47. And a SD Flex Capacitor 40-60. There are several original and new versions of the Arc’ Alpha sacks (would be a phenomenal sack if they sorted the lid). Some Simond ones, a few BD, i think theres a Deuter Guide and obvs a Rab Latok 38.
So in summary … dear Santa please can i have a bomber fabric + single compartment + detachable traditional lid + roll top neck + 1 outer and 1 inner pocket (usable with winter gloves) + simple axe leashes + the neck of the bag needs to be ~75cm wide + detachable hip belt + 45-55 litre bag.
Please.
I’ve been good(ish) 🎅
