Dining Company

Tea out on Wednesday.

Int’ Grouse.

With two blokes.

One bloke said he’d ‘done a bit’ …

became a British Mountain Guide in 1977 and achieved the International IFMGA Guide carnet the next year. Was one of the first 10 British Guides ever to earn the IFMGA qual. Currently a globally renowned educationalist.

The other bloke said he’d also ‘done a bit’

…. first climbed in the Himalaya in 1979 and retired from guiding expeditions last year after leading well over a 100 expeditions mostly to the Greater Ranges, 93 of which were guided for KE Travel. Very highly regarded expert on all aspects of mountaineering and equipment.

I told them i’d once gone up Higger Tor from the steeper South side.

Outside it was raining.
